Week 32

We're in the last 2 months months now before our family grows by +1. As you can see from my pic...I'm definitely carrying the +1 around with me these days. I'm still feeling good. People keep telling me the weight will go afterwards but right now it feels like I'll be this big forever!
Andy and I attended our first antenatal (UK way of saying prenatal) class last night. There were 6 couple and everyone seemed really nice. We went over the stages of labour, when Andy should take me to the hospital and what signs of labour are. It's amazing how much you just don't know even with everyone telling you and all the info that you get inundated with. Next week we have 2 classes. Friday we're working on how to ease my pain in labour. (good times)I will make sure Andy takes lots of notes on that one. :)
I'll post again with the next round of pretty photos and more updates. I'm currently waiting for the John Lewis delivery guy to deliver the crib. Nesting...nesting...we'll get there.

Couple more pictures from my baby shower. I made it home in Febuary for one last visit before I am grounded until May. I was so lucky to have my friends and family around for my visit.

Wow...so long since I've updated my blog!

I guess I can start with a few quick updates...We live in Bedford, England now. It's about 50 miles north of london and between Oxford and Cambridge (30 miles from each). Andy is the strength and conditioning (or fitness whichever your prefer) coach for the Bedford Blues Rugby Club. We moved here last July for this job as it was good opportunity for Andy to get into professional sports. I still work for bigmouthmedia as the Head of Training but I'm now working out of the London office. Bedford is a well connected town to London and a 45min to 1 hr trip depending on the type of train you get. We do miss Edinburgh quite a bit as it is an amazing city with so much going on and so much natural beauty at your door step but we're doing our best to enjoy the time down South here while we can.

Some of the big news that we have is we're expecting our first baby in May. As you can see from the pic I'm growing nicely. We don't know if it's a girl or a boy and we have no preference (or really any choice) in the matter. :) There is a very excited extended family who are awaiting the new arrival and we can't wait for their visits. My parents (coming first), sisters and newphews will be making their way to the UK to meet the new wee McLean.

I'm still studing nutrition on the weekends (seems like almost every weekend these days!). It's my final year so I'm trying to study as well as do 100 hours of clinic time taking my own patients and writing up case studies this year. So, yes...I'm keeping quite busy with work, study and being a bit larger than normal. :) It's amazing what little control you have over your own body and fatigue when you're carrying a baby!

I'll do another post soon (I promise) to keep you updated on our progress and everything else. Oh and here are some pictures of Bedford near the river. We live one street up from a nice park and across the road from that is the river which is the show piece of Bedford. We always welcome visitors (like our good friends Kerry, Spencer, Kaleb and Kieran who are visiting the 1 May) so don't be shy if you want to come over. :)
Until next time...
