Never told you about my camping...

Thought I'd give you a wee update about my camping fun this summer. Andy bought me a tent for my birthday. (biggest tent I think I've ever seen but luxurious for a tent) To give you and idea of the tent I'll try to describe the layout...there are three entrances. You can create either a two bedroom tent or you can have a one bedroom tent with an extra living room. All this with a nice breezeway in the middle. This is useful as it rains a bit here in Scotland. (If you can believe that.)

In August Andy and I headed out of Edinburgh and up to Glencoe. We pitched our tent at the Red Squirrel Campground. The picture with the cars is the campground and overlooking mountains. It was a beautiful spot just next to a river which I think is an off shoot of Loch Leven. Apparently there is only one Lake in Scotland...everything else is called a Loch. I swear sometimes the words they make up. :)

Our friend Emily and David came up on Saturday morning. We went to Glencoe and did some hiking. You can see that it is mainly Emily and Andy (me taking pics). David (Emily's husband) is quite hard core and walked through the mountainside after our hike and turned up at camp about 4 hours later. But he was not the best hiker...I would say it was Snoopy. At one point Andy and Emily got stuck on some loose rocks. Snoopy took to the path and began barking in warning. It was like a scene from Lassie. So proud....

Lastly, here is a picture of our tent. You can barely sit it..but I think it was one of the biggest in camp. (that is actually David in the light coloured pants)
