Quick Update

Well we had a beautiful day of sunshine yesterday for a minute we thought summer may have arrived but then we got up this morning to drizzle and overcast skies. Oh well, at least we had one nice day. They say it may even be sunny again this summer. We won't hold our breaths.

So today I'm studying for my final...as I will be tomorrow as well. Just in case you don't remember I'm studying to be a naturopathic nutritional therapist. This final is on anatomy, physiology and disease. Good times. So next week will be a big relief and if the sun cooperates I can enjoy a wee bit of summer fun.

Also, we're moving back into our flat in Bryson road. You may remember it from the beginning of this blog. We've enjoyed living with Gran, but the time has come to get our own space back. As always you're more than welcome to come and visit and stay with us anytime!!

Okay that's enough for today. I'll update again next week after I go out in Glasgow www.glasgow.gov.uk with a bunch of girls I work with. Glasgow is about 45 minutes west of Edinburgh. You may have heard it recently in the news becaus of the terrorist attack on the airport. (We're driving so we should be alright.) It has a larger population but is a much newer city. It is supposed to have fantastic shopping and a good night life. On the down side, it is quite industrial and tensions similar (but not nearly as violent) to Northern Ireland run through the under belly of the atmosphere. The difference between the two scenarios is that the sectarian strain in Glasgow is based on the Football (soccer) teams that were started by Irish monks...and so the story continues. I don't think we'll be involved in any of that as we'll be going to trendy bars and staying in a central area. Anyway, it should still be a fun night.

So until next time...peace from Edinburgh.

Some pictures from our trip.

I recently had the chance to update my blog, but not being at home, I wasn't able to post any pictures. So, here is a very small sample of the tons of pictures that we took. The Rathaus glass ended up being our favourite place for a nice weiss bier in Luzern. The other is the view from our hotel room over the lake in Luzern. It was a wonderful place. If you're wondering what that group of people are carrying those are alpine horns. They look really cool but I probably wouldn't buy an alpine horn CD. Sorry guys!

That brings us to the last two pics which show the Mattehorn in Zermatt from the balcony of our great hotel. We enjoying some wine on our balcony in the early evenings there. Then there is Andy. It was not a good idea to try and sleep on any of the trains when Lisa, Eric, Andy and I were together because you were bound to get something done to you. I think this was before we set up the gummy bear display on him.

Well, I hope you enjoy my posts for now. For those Americans reading this: HAPPY 4TH OF JULY! I'll have a burger and fries (perhaps with a sparkler) to celebrate with you in spirit.

Until next time...Kdog.
